Don't know what happened but can't see any reason to boot him out. Could have done with Morgan in the Europa league match IMO.
Management is all about dealing with different characters and getting the best out of them even if some of them are piss takers and arseholes.

Nobody knows what has gone on but it seems like pretty poor man management to me if true.
Its a waste of a good squad player if he isn't going to be involved in matches.
I love the way there is a hoard of uninformed people making assumptions that it must be all the players fault.

No because you know full well you can read about Payet via a simple google search. And it's largely irrelevant to this discussion - all you have to note is that he's had his issues in the past. As have had a huge number of very talented players in the game, including some of our club legends. That was the entirety of the point I was making there. Would you accept an alternate past where Di Canio would never have kicked a ball for us because he was disruptive?

Has anyone ever stopped and realised how pointless and futile it is spending hours arguing on this site with complete strangers?
What is it that makes us keep coming back to this mongfest? Boredom? Love of pointless argument? To see the level of intelligence on show and instantly feel better about ourselves (Or in the case of Texas Iron and Willtell feel depressed that they are amongst the mongier WHOers)?
This thread has become so turgid Its forced me into having some sort of minor epiphany.

No. I'm just giving my general opinion of what's best for the club. To me all that should matter is getting our best players on the pitch.
If Bilic has dealt with an issue in a way that has multi-million pound implications for the players we see on the pitch in the richest league in the world, he needs to be accountable too (and I hope he is). Not absolving Amalfitano of any blame, and the truth may be that Bilic had no choice or the situation became completely unworkable. To me it's an open question, and more important than who is to blame is who can resolve it quickly to our benefit.
Like it or not, the world of football is populated by lots of highly strung sportsmen who cost a fortune to maintain. It's not national service.
